Christmas Preparations and a 4 Month Old

We went to the "Starry Nights" fundraiser for the People's City Mission at the arena again this year.  It is a lovely ornament making, snack eating, letter writing, picture coloring, face painting, gingerbread house making, Santa visiting, tree watching good time.  We really enjoy it.  And we also added to the fun this year.  Levi had a blowout diaper (of course we did not have a change of clothes), Izzie dropped her cookie in front of the Mennonite snack station and got so upset she wet herself... A LOT... (she hadn't had a nap at school and was a bit emotional, and of course we did not have a change of clothes)... and then Levi screamed for a bottle while I attempted to dry Izzie's clothes in the bathroom hand dryers.  That was in the first 15 minutes.  The rest of the time we had a blast.  Really!

She was very into this ornament!
The finished product.  And "CHEESE" smile.
A Barney book.  Duh.  Since we don't watch the show this was a bit confusing...
Levi loved the carollers!
A gingerbread house/awesome snack
"Do you want to get a picture with Santa?"
"Yeah!...Actually, I'll just stand here, okay?"
Chillin' with Daddy
A rocket.  Her choice.  I love my daughter so much.
"Not that this party isn't awesome.  But is it over soon?"

Then we did some Christmas treat making.

"This chocolate isn't for eating, okay?"
"Okay, Mommy."
(Unwraps chocolate, pops into mouth.)
"No, honey!  We're not eating the chocolate, okay?"
"Okay!"
(Does a few more pretzels, then unwraps another and pops it into her mouth.)

I honestly think this was completely innocent.  It was instinct to pop those things in her mouth.  She didn't even know she was doing it. (And, yes, she wore pink fairy wings while helping.)

Then some reindeer visiting with the cousins.

Some present buying with Daddy.  (Contrary to what you might believe, it is MY presents that are wrapped in Sofia paper.  Izzie's choice.)

A night of Christmas light watching with the Meyers.  Yes, that is Emily crammed between Avery and Levi in the middle seats, facing the back of the van.  Completely unsafe and illegal.  But we had fun!  Daddies scored the sweet front seats and I was in the back between Iz and Caden.  This was the trip where Caden said something Izzie didn't like and she threatened to baptize him.

"Caden, if you don't stop I'm going to baptize you."
"Izzie, we don't have water back here so we won't be baptizing anyone."
"I said I will baptize you, Caden!"
"Izzie, Jesus was baptized and they used water.  We do not have water so no baptizing."

What?!?  When did baptizing become a threat?  We have some work to do!

And this guy turned four months old.  Out of nowhere.  He was just a teeny tiny baby alien, I swear! He is sleeping 12-13 hours a night, and is still the sweetest baby there ever was. Little man loves reaching for toys, and has a new bucking bronco move he does when he is laying on his back and really excited. Levi was one ounce less than Izzie and half an inch longer than her at the same age. Weird, because he seems so much bigger to us, but as it turns out he's just the perfect sized Rahn baby!
