Swimming Lessons for Iz

After her first session of gymnastics was done, I asked Iz if she wanted to do another session.  She said, "Gymnastics was okay but I think I just want to swim."  So we signed her up for a session of swimming . She LOVED it and was so happy to be in the water again.  There were three other kids in her class, and she was so brave.  The other kids had obviously done more lessons than her, but she didn't mind at all.  She just went out there and did her thing, and tried her hardest.  There were several times you could tell she sucked some water down and she was sputtering, but she never cried or gave up.  We were so proud of her.

At the beginning of every lesson, the teachers led the kids into the pool area and asked them to "follow the line" around the edge of the pool.  The other kids took that instruction a little more casually than our BooBoo - she walked toe to toe down that line and took the corners at 90 degree angles.  There was no messing around with that kid.  Oh, how I love her.
